Awakened Awareness For Undergraduates: Practices for Enhanced and Healthier Perception

Columbia University & affiliate students are invited to participate in Awakened Awareness for Undergraduates: Practices for Enhanced and Healthier Perception offered by the Dean Hope Center for Psychological and Educational Services in Collaboration with the Spirituality Mind Body Institute at Teachers College, Columbia University. 

We are excited to serve Columbia and Barnard students for four continuous years, now offering our content both in-person and on an online platform. 

Each 8-week, 90-minute workshop includes meditation practices, introduction to awakened awareness concepts, and sharing reflections.

Register for one of the Fall 2021 Sections: 

Section 1: Wednesdays 7:00-8:30 p.m. ONLINE

Begins October 6th.

Zoom link will be provided.

OR

Section 2: Thursdays 7:00-8:30 p.m. IN PERSON

Begins October 7th.

Schiff Room in Earl Hall of Columbia University.

This program is designed for participants between the ages of 18 and 25.

All participants must be enrolled undergraduates at Columbia University or Barnard College, or an affiliate university.

The SMBI Spiritual Wellness Center is housed at New Residence Hall at Teachers College, Columbia University. As a center, we aim to support the mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing of students, faculty, alumni, and staff on the Teachers College, Columbia, and Barnard campuses. We offer a range of wellness workshops and programs throughout the academic year, with topics including yoga, meditation, positive psychology and more. As an IRB approved site, group participants are encouraged to participate in research to aid in informing the field and policy about wellness on campus. 

 

Please note that Awakened Awareness Seminar is for undergraduates only. However, all other workshops listed are available for anyone in the Columbia Community - including graduate and undergraduate students, staff, faculty, and alumni- over the age of 18.
